- “Kurungabaa” means “pelican” in the Dharawal language. These people's country was colonised by Europeans. It is now called the Illawarra region and is located on the New South Wales coast, Australia. They continue to inspire as they struggle for their country and rights.

hey the new format rocks ! I’m a big fan of times new roman font. Sans serif, mais pourquoi ?
stoked. Behind th escenes it has more options i can play with down the track too -n design headers, fonts, colours etc. as well as more widgets. it took awhile under the influence of beer but worth it. the bigger the screen the better too. looks great on mac.
thursday = Bombora!
The bird: I still have it. Better than two in the bush. I am trying to source a better and larger photograph of pelicans flying low over waves/swell/seas that is of high quality that I can then make into our header/title. This format allows me to change the header photo. Anyone have any of know of any?
Pete: Bird put back until another option becomes available.
note how comments are in different colour boxes. oooohhhhh
Do you mean would Apicius cook a pelican Pete?
If so, the Nettle thinks that having a pelican for dinner is an entirely fitting thing to eat while on a surf trip. Just don’t spoil it with fancy herbs and spices, or spend to much time cooking the thing – there’s bullshit stories to spin round the fire and we’ve gotta get up early tomorrow morning.
Plucked, gutted, couple of times over the coals and washed down with the Cooper family’s finest.
Grouse!
apparently the apicius of old like to do a bit of something with flamingo tongue was not fussed on the whole bird. and once pulled anchor shortly after wieghing, in digust of the local produce; the prawns were too small. made off for another port. he did have exquiste taste and struggled to bankroll in the end. its interesting noting the shift from no packed lunch to foodporn. the new look site is spacious
to say the least
Great Pelican photo .. the wave-ocean-sky + pelican is like a nation-state flag: Viva Kurungabaa .
As long as apicius resists force feeding pelicans to engorge their livers for pate I’m ok with him serving one up for tea.
I used to work with pelicans on a breeding island. Crazy birds. One I named ‘Hannibal’ as it would swallow other pelican’s young live when they were not looking .. i watched 3 go down Hannibal’s gullet on one sickening day. As large as fully grown chickens but being featherless looking like small dinosaurs they would be scooped up in his bill and down the hatch. brrr naughty Hannibal.
hee hee .. Tubby and Woskit would love it. Washed down with Stu’s stubbies of Coopers.
